My Passion for Design
Hi there, I am Karen Miller, owner of Miller Design Group – Decorating Den Interiors and I’m excited to get to know you. Interior design and decorating have been my passion for longer than I can remember, or longer than I’ll ever admit. I was the child forever rearranging not only my bedroom, but any other room I could add my decorating point of view. Years later (we won’t say how many), that passion has never faded. In the past, I’ve worked with a large Chicagoland residential developer assisting clients in selecting floor plans and design finishes, consulted on home building designs, and advised family and friends on creating rooms that reflect their style. For me, there is nothing better than working with my clients to help them make their home and lives more beautiful. I firmly believe you should Love Where You Live!
My other great passions include my wonderful husband, you can affectionately call him Jimmy, and my two boys Max and Teddy – which just happen to be Golden Retrievers, and my security staff.
I feel that design is personal and that your home should express YOUR tastes and support YOUR lifestyle, the whole process should be easy and enjoyable. My initial consultation is complimentary, that is our time for me to get to know you, your style preferences and understand your vision – because the design is about you.
When I return to your home with the design, I will show you samples that relate to the scope of your project. Be it custom window treatments, bedding ensembles, floor covering, wall covering, accessories, lighting, upholstered furniture and case-goods, I bring the samples to you with a cohesive look, so you don’t have to run around town trying to piece your design together. And, because pets are my other passion, I also specialize in creating pet-friendly homes that are functional and beautiful.
